Jim loved our little tach!
G'day...........
The 64-73 Ford Mustangs hold a special place in the hearts of many Aussies. Whether it's because we have
a love for American muscle cars, can't resist the rumbling sound of a V8 motor or just because they look so damn good, the Ford Mustang,
without doubt, is Australia's favourite pony car. You cannot go out for a drive on any sunny day on any weekend without seeing a classic
Mustang somewhere on an Australian road. These classics range from daily drivers to concourse beauties in both left and right
hand drive configurations. In stock, restored or modified flavours, nothing quite turns heads like these babies!
I've owned
several Mustangs, the latest being my '67 fastback project - and what a project! Check out the before pics on 'The Steps' pages. This
car replaces my much loved 68 J code fastback which I sold to fund the job ahead of me. I miss my 68 big time as it
will be a couple of years before the new ride is ready. The new owner lives just around the corner from me so I see the car
regularly which hurts even more! It was cool, loud, in your face, turned heads like no other and drove like a 35 year old car.
Hell it was great. In the hallowed words of Ferris Bueller "I highly recommend picking one up".
Anyway, I've created this
site to let you know about my project and hopefully as it progresses (that's both the site and the car), throw in some bits and pieces
here and there, maybe a bit of tech stuff, a few useful links and anything else anyone reckons might be worth publishing.
By
the way, I occasionally frequent the Vintage Mustang Forum as Aussie Mike and the Just Mustangs Forum as Warmride.
I also manufacture
the RetroGauge Mini-Tachs for 67/68 Mustangs which I sell on eBay. More info can be found on the Mini-Tachs by visiting
my RetroGauge web site at
www.retrogauge.com or checking out my 'About Me' page on eBay
here.
Feedback, comments and
content most welcome.
Cheers, Mike
